Rosie Helen Vasquez Higuera was born in Yuma, Arizona on January 12, 1933 to Edward E. Vasquez and Salome Gonzales.

She was born and raised by her grandmother Jesusita Coz Gonzales Arviso where she went to Mary Elizabeth Post Elementary, Fourth Avenue Jr High School and Yuma High School.

That's when she met the love of her life Joe Higuera. They both were involved in sports. They both graduated. Joe was drafted into the Korean War and Rose waited for his return.

Joe and Rose were married on January 31, 1955. They had six children, Rosana, Gilbert, Mary Louise, Ramona, Margaret & Ramon.

Ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

They have been together for sixty six and a half years.

Rose will be truly missed by all.
