Marie Collins Baumgarden was born on July 11, 1930, in Ross CA. At an age too early to remember her family moved to White Salmon WA where she lived the next 81 years before moving permanently to Yuma AZ in 2013.

Marie had hoped to be an RN but gave that up to marry and raise a family. She was a homemaker when the children were small and later worked for the Klickitat County Health Department until she retired.

When not at work or helping family, she had other interests she pursued. She painted with oils and watercolors. She loved to read, sing in the choir, work crossword and jigsaw puzzles, as well as bake and cook. Another love she had after retirement was going to Arizona for the winters to stay warm. She loved family and for many years helped with and attended the Collins family reunions.

After reaching the milestone of 72 years of marriage on July 5 Marie passed away on August 4, 2021 and is survived by husband Elmer, 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
