Freytag
Nov 2, 1935 — Mar 4, 2023
Yuma
Jo Anne Freytag, 87, left this earth Saturday March 4 2023 in Yuma, AZ. to be with her family and friends. She fought a long and valiant battle with cancer. She was born in 1935 in Platner, CO, the daughter of Charles and Edna Ison.
Jo graduated from Otis High School in 1953.In 1956, she married John Freytag and commenced the arduous task of raising a family of five boys. Living in Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado and finally Yuma, AZ, she always had her hands full, never a dull moment. After her divorce to John, she began her second career. She ended up doing her true calling, agriculture. Working for Senini Farming and Advanced Cooling until she finally retired in her 80's.
Being a Colorado native, she always had a passion for her Denver Broncos, win or lose. Always donning her orange and blue Bronco wear, you could see her coming for miles. The Bronco flags were always flying during football season.
Jo was proceeded in death by her parents, Charles and Edna; brothers, Ronald, Dean, Frank, Bernard(Sparky) and Charles, sisters, Phyllis, Irene, Eva, Ruth, Ruby and her son Jeffery.
She is survived by sister Rose, sons Bryan, Gregory(Dawn), Bradley(Sunee) and Zachary(Ashley), six grandchildren, Zachary, Kristyne, Tosha(Caleb), Hunter(Shelby), Jessica and Chloe, eight great grandchildren and more nieces and nephews than you can count.
Never wanting to be buried, she chose cremation, wishing that her ashes be scattered at the Grand Canyon. She will be missed and was loved by all.
