Jeff Brady

Beloved Son, Brother, Friend, and Hero

Yuma, Arizona

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeff Brady, 51, of Yuma, Arizona, previously of San Diego, California, who died heroically on July 5, 2025, while saving the lives of two young boys from drowning.

Jeff's final act was one of pure selflessness and courage—an embodiment of the man he was every day of his life. In the face of danger, Jeff didn't hesitate. He gave his life so that others could live, becoming a true guardian angel in the process. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing his final moments were spent doing what he always did best: protecting and helping others.

Born and raised in San Diego County, Jeff was a man known for his strength, warmth, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He was a devoted son, a cherished twin brother, and a friend who could always be counted on. Jeff had a kind heart, a generous spirit, and a fierce sense of responsibility that touched everyone who knew him. Whether it was through his work, his friendships, or his everyday actions, Jeff lived a life of quiet integrity and meaningful purpose.

Jeff's passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy will live on in the lives of the two boys he saved and in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His courage will forever inspire us, and his sacrifice will never be forgotten.

He is survived by the love of his life Elen Ellis, his loving family, including his parents Edward & Lola, his sister Tammy, and twin brother Greg, as well as countless nieces & nephews, friends and coworkers whose lives he impacted.

A Celebration of Life to honor Jeff and his heroic legacy will be announced soon.

Rest in peace, Jeff. You were a hero in life and in death. Your light, your love, and your bravery will live on forever. The sacrifice and bravery you showed is what makes you both a Legend and a Hero and your story of courage and sacrifice will live on through generations.
