Dave and I ran around in the same crowd in high school. My dad owned a bakery where I worked after school and on weekends. One summer Dave came to work at the bakery. He would come in and liked to kiss me by the bread machine. Later Dave joined the Navy and was stationed in San Diego where my husband and I were stationed. Dave would come and spend weekends with us. Through the years our lives diverged and he went on and started his own family. We still talked on the phone every year. Many years later we both lost our spouses. Dave called me one day asked to escort me to our 60th high school reunion We had a great time together from then on. We were soon married at the age of 80 and had six wonderful years together.

His children are Serine Newman (Dan) and Sally Hodgson (Kenny). Grandchildren Jennifer Newman, Dan Newman, Aaron Bauer and Serine Liebe (Eric). Great Granddaughers, Gwendolyn Newman and Zoey Liebe.
