David William Anderson was born March 30, 1955, in Havre, MT to Leroy Anderson and Rena Anderson. He was the youngest of four children, Chris, Steve, Vickie and Dave.  He grew up in Chinook, MT where he graduated from high school in 1973.

Dave had four children, Crystal (Miller) Gordon, Tony Miller, Matthew Blankenship, and Levi Blankenship.

Dave later met Sandra Shum Kainu in Colorado and they married on January 1, 1989, in Grand Junction, CO.  He joined her family and helped raise her daughters, Haley and Lesley.

Dave spent most of his life in the trucking industry as both a truck driver and as a manager of freight terminals.

He spent most of his adult life in Grand Junction where he enjoyed the mountains, camping, boating, fishing and hunting.  Dave and Sandra also enjoyed their Harley, taking trips and spending time  with terrific friends and family.

Dave and Sandra bought a home in Yuma, Arizona to retire. Dave struggled with health problems the last few years and looked to the lower altitude and warm, dry climate.  They moved to their new home on July 3, 2017.

Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Rena Anderson, father, Leroy Anderson and brother, Steve Anderson.  He is survived by his wife Sandra Anderson, sisters, Chris Fox and Vickie Mickelson, children, Crystal (Miller) Gordon, Tony Miller, Matthew Blankenship, Levi Blankenship, and step children, Haley (Kainu) Dukes and Lesley Kainu.  He was also blessed with many precious grandchildren.

A Memorial service was held at Clifton Christian Church in Colorado on July 28, 2017.
