Obituary

Charles E. Fairchild was born April 3,1925 in Three Forks, Montana. Chuck had four brothers, 2 sisters and is survived by his half-sister, Eddy Oumi. Chuck's family worked their way from Montana to Idaho. He worked from the time he was old enough to ride a horse. He was a member of the "Greatest Generation", serving in WWII in the Pacific theater and in Korea. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Upon returning to Idaho, he married Eileen Pedey. They were married for 50+ years.  He married Dorothy Polley in 2014.

He never completed school past the 8th grade. He was a heavy duty diesel mechanic and construction superintendent.

Chuck worked hard and played hard. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved to dance and play all kinds of games.

The family was all important to him to him, providing for them, and celebrating with them. He loved them all.

His legacy lives on in his two sons, Chuck and Tony, and his daughter, Trina. Also, his daughter-in-laws, Sue and Candy. He has 3 grandsons, Seth, Skylar, and Joel, and 1 granddaughter, Brenna. He has 3 great granddaughters, Sloane, Sawyer, and Marlowe. He has 1 great grandson, Seeger and another great grandson arriving in June; honoring him by joining a long line of Charles's.

He is missed already, but his memory lives on in all of us.
