Ben was a dedicated family and church man.  He loved fishing, hunting, traveling, John Wayne Westerns and was a classic movie buff.  He served as a Korean Navy Veteran and was a Burlington Northern Railroad engineer for 41 years.  He could fix any piece of machinery but was dangerous with a hammer doing construction, hitting his thumb more than the nail.
