Our very special Mom, Nana, Sister, Auntie and Friend went to be with the Lord on September 23rd., 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born  to Frank DeGrande and Sarah LeRoy, both deceased, on June 6, 1934 in Winterhaven, California.  Married her "Cupcake" Lupe Ortiz in June 19, 1965.  Amelia and Lupe had three children, Frank Fregozo, (Eileen).  Daughters Sandra Hughley (Ronald) and Rhonda Ortiz.  She was a Grandmother of 7 Grandchildren, a Great Grandmother of 9 children and a Great Great Grandmother of one.
She had many Siblings, Nieces  and Nephews.
Amelia worked hard for many years and was finally able to retire.  She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her birds and cooking for her Grandchildren.  We'll miss her sopita and her sense of humor. As she said on earth when asked how she's doing, she would reply "I,m still kicking".  Now she's doing it in Heaven.
